Moto2 Indianapolis, Free Practice 3: Aegerter confirms himself as the fastest, Corsi is sixth
Bad off-track exit for Mattia Pasini, who hit a manhole cover immediately after the curb
Dominique Aegerter, winner of his first career GP at the Sachsenring and fresh from the podium of the Suzuka 8 Hours, achieved the best time in the third and final free practice session of the Moto2 class in Indianapolis, tenth stage of the 2014 world championship.
The Swiss from Suter stopped the clock with a time of 1:37.243, ahead of the Kalexes of the Marc VDS Racing Team of Esteve Rabat and Mika Kallio.
Fourth time for Maverick Vinales, who will be a Suzuki MotoGP rider next year. The Spaniard precedes the German Sandro Cortese and the Roman Simone Corsi, riding the Forward Racing Kalex.
Corsi precedes the San Marino Alex de Angelis, who should already be riding the Yamaha Open from Brno driven so far by the American Colin Edwards. Closing out the Top Ten are the Malaysian Syahrin, our Franco Morbidelli and the Swiss Thomas Luthi.
Mattia Pasini (sixteenth) was the author of a bad episode. His motorbike went just over the curb, but hit a manhole cover (which shouldn't be there), which caused both rims of his Kalex to break. Fortunately, the Forward Racing driver did not suffer any consequences, but he was very scared.
Lorenzo Baldassarri closes behind, only twenty-first with the Suter of Team Gresini.
