MotoGP | GP Silverstone Qualifying: Luca Marini, “Happy with the result”

Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia GP Silverstone MotoGP 2021 – Luca Marini closed qualifying for the Silverstone Grand Prix with the 14th time.

Eighteenth in the combined times at the end of free practice and forced into Q1, the Sky VR46 Avintia driver in the qualifying session closed in on the fastest thanks to a good 1:59.764, fourth best overall time just two tenths behind the top to the next phase of the QP.

“I'm happy with qualifying, we all went really fast and P14 is a good result on this type of track. In Fp4, however, we struggled, I'm not satisfied: with the M used I had no grip and I wasn't able to keep the pace I would have liked. The choice of tire for tomorrow will be crucial, let's analyze the data now and try to understand what the right thing to do will be. The grid position is still good.”
