MotoGP | GP Silverstone Day 1: Miller, “We really have a fantastic bike!”

MotoGP British GP Silverstone Ducati 2021 – Jack Miller closed the first day of free practice at the Silverstone Grand Prix with the second fastest time overall.

Fifth after this morning's FP1, the Australian was able to improve his best time during FP2 by over a second and a half, clinching second position, 512 thousandths from the top of the standings, with a time of 1:59.829.

“I'm very happy to be back at Silverstone: it's an old-fashioned track with lots of corners, where it's always a lot of fun to race. Compared to 2019, the last year in which the GP took place here, the asphalt conditions have improved a lot and this is also positive in terms of tire wear. My feeling with the bike has improved a lot compared to two years ago and this also highlights how the Desmosedici GP has made really big steps forward in recent years! We really have a fantastic bike this year, as demonstrated by the fact that we are always competitive on every track. Now we will continue to work hard to try to improve again tomorrow. Today there were already many fans in the stands, and I hope to be able to give them a great show this Sunday!”
