MotoGP | GP Silverstone Day 1: Enea Bastianini, “We can aim high”

Ducati Esponsorama Avintia GP Silverstone Great Britain MotoGP 2021 – Enea Bastianini closed the first day of free practice at the Silverstone Grand Prix with the 12th fastest time.

The Avintia team driver recorded the 1th time in FP18, while in the English afternoon he managed to improve considerably, finishing in 12th position.

“It went pretty well. It's very cold, not the best conditions. I finally returned to Silverstone after 3 years. We started off on the right foot straight away, while in the afternoon with hard tires it didn't work. I put on a medium tire and set my pace. We did some work on the setting and in the end it worked. With the soft tire I felt even better. We are working in the same direction. I think we can exploit some of Ducati's strong points here, but we suffer more than Yamaha and Honda, I think I can be fast and I will try to be ready for tomorrow. The gap to second is minimal, while Quartararo did a great lap, he has an edge here. Let's see what we can aspire to, if something more than the top ten comes even better."
