"I tried to push, but I slipped," said the Iberian
MotoGP GP Misano Suzuki 2021 – Alex Rins' weekend ended with a crash on the Misano track, scene of the last Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera.
The Suzuki Spaniard was unable to make up for his poor placing in Aragon in the way he hoped, given that his hopes of a top five finish left room for a slip which will almost certainly increase the pressure on his shoulders in the final part of this season.

“I'm fine after the crash, I'm just disappointed because I was having a good race. The pace was consistent throughout all the laps and I felt very confident in terms of the result. Bastianini showed great pace for the entire duration of the race and all in all I was able to stay behind him, even if he braked harder than me. I pushed as hard as I could to stay behind him and this cost me the crash. We need to look at the data to understand exactly what happened. It's disappointing, but I'm glad I'm unharmed. I'll look at the next tests and the appointment scheduled for Austin in a couple of weeks."
