MotoGP | GP Misano Race, Joan Mir: “I expected a different race”

MotoGP GP Misano Suzuki 2021 – Sixth place for Joan Mir in the last Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera di Rimini, 14th round of the 2021 MotoGP world championship. The Suzuki Spaniard, protagonist of an excellent first part of the race, was unable to be as incisive as the riders who classified within the top five, an aspect that will have to push the Suzuki team to analyze what went wrong in the future of the next championship events.

“Honestly I expected a different race, given that at the beginning I struggled a lot with the bike and I didn't expect it. My feeling wasn't good with the bike, but it improved step by step over the course of the race, even though by then it was too late to recover at the top positions. Our potential, in any case, remains very high and I want to demonstrate it in the next races. The fight with Marc was very good and we exchanged positions for several laps, except for the mistake that led me to exceed the limits of the track and therefore slip to sixth place. It could have been worse, but I want to keep my head high and look towards the next races with optimism. Texas is an exciting track and I can't wait to race there.”
