MotoGP | GP Jerez Race: Bagnaia, “It was a shame, I made a small mistake”
After a weekend of continuous improvement, the Ducati Pramac team rookie leaves the Spanish track with a zero
MotoGP GP Spain Ducati Pramac – Francesco Bagnaia ended the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth stage of the 2019 MotoGP, with a crash, fortunately without consequences.
The Ducati Pramac team rider demonstrated that he had a good pace throughout the weekend. In the race, after a less than brilliant start, he struggled to recover positions. Just during an overtaking, the Turin driver 'exaggerated' and slipped.
These are the words of Francesco Bagnaia: “Quite a difficult race from the start, because I didn't start well. I had a good pace but I struggled to overtake some riders and when I managed I made a small mistake with Espargarò. When I passed him at turn 2 I pushed a little too much and when I left the brakes I lost it and crashed. It was a shame because it was a good weekend, we were fast from the start and to throw it away is so sad. We know we have done a good job and we are close to the leaders. We had a good race so we are satisfied with this, it's a shame we didn't finish. Le Mans is a track that I really like and we will start again from there.”
