MotoGP | GP Brno FP1: Zarco ahead of Dovizioso, Rossi is fifth
Third time for world championship leader Marc Marquez, Stefan Bradl surprises
MotoGP GP Czech Republic Free Practice 1 – Johann Zarco set the best time in the Free Practice 1 of the MotoGP class in Brno, scene of the Czech Republic Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2018 MotoGP championship.
The French rider from Team Yamaha Tech 3 stopped the clock at 1:56.647, a time that allowed him to beat our Andrea Dovizioso, riding the Ducati, by just 73 thousandths.
Third time for the Honda of world leader Marc Marquez, 0.181s off the top and ahead of his compatriot Alvaro Bautista (Ducato Angel Nieto Team) and the Yamaha of our Valentino Rossi, who has a gap from Zarco of 0.241s.
Yamaha's #46 precedes his Suzuki compatriot (and next Aprilia rider) Andrea Iannone, in turn ahead of the Hondas of Dani Pedrosa and a surprising Stefan Bradl, present here as a wild card.
Closing out the Top Ten are the Australian from Team Ducati Pramac Jack Miller and Tito Rabat, on the Ducati from Team Reale Avintia.
Cal Crutchlow and Jorge Lorenzo were further behind, setting the eleventh and twelfth times respectively, while Maverick Vinales was fourteenth and ahead of Danilo Petrucci's Ducati.
Twenty-second time for the returning Franco Morbidelli, while the other wild card (Suzuki) Sylvain Guintoli is nineteenth.
