Moto2 | Gp Brno FP1: Schrotter in the lead followed by Fenati, Bagnaia and Locatelli
Five Italians in the top eight in FP1 of the Moto2 class Czech GP
Moto2 GP Czech Republic Free Practice 1 – Marcel Schrotter was the fastest in the first free practice session of the Moto2 class in Brno, scene of the Czech GP, the tenth round of the season.
The German driver took his Kalex to the top of the timesheets with a time of 2:03.854, a time almost half a second better than that set by the Snipers Team rookie Romano Fenati, exactly 0.423s behind.
Third time for the leader of the world championship classification Francesco Bagnaia (Sky VR46) who preceded his compatriot Andrea Locatelli (Team Italtrans) and Alex Marquez.
Mattia Pasini (riding the second Kalex of Team Italtrans) is sixth and precedes the Spaniard Jorge Navarro and our Luca Marini, the latter fresh from the first podium of his career.
Closing out the Top Ten are Fabio Quartararo with the Speed Up (next year he should be riding the Yamaha MotoGP SAT) and the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira, second in the championship, 7 points behind Bagnaia.
Lorenzo Baldassarri and Simone Corsi (recently married, ed.) occupy the eleventh and twelfth position respectively.
