MotoGP | Australian GP FP1: Vinales the fastest, fear for Quartararo
The Frenchman fell violently at the end of the session and was taken to the medical centre
MotoGP Australian GP Phillip Island Free Practice 1 – Maverick Vinales wins the first round of the Australian Grand Prix, seventeenth stage of the 2019 Motorcycle World Championship.
The Yamaha rider stopped the clock on a wet track at 1:38.957, preceding Jack Miller by 0.147s and Marc Marquez by 0.385s.
Fourth time for Valentino Rossi ahead of Danilo Petrucci and Franco Morbidelli. Bad high-side for Fabio Quartararo at the end of the round. The French rider was taken away on a stretcher with a sore leg, updates will follow.

Pol Espargarò brings the KTM to eighth position ahead of Miguelo Oliveira and Andrea Dovizioso who completes the top ten.
Good debut for Johann Zarco aboard the Honda. The Frenchman finished thirteenth, second best Honda in the standings. Only 21st Andrea Iannone.
