MotoGP – Estoril Free Practice – Marco Melandri sets the sixth fastest time

Marco Melandri achieved the sixth fastest time on the first day of free practice in Estoril, scene of the penultimate stage of the 2010 world championship. The next Yamaha Superbike rider has made good progress despite the difficult weather conditions and hopes to be able to achieve a good result. He has the microphone.

“It was a very difficult day due to the weather conditions, the Estoril track is very slippery in the rain. Luckily, in the afternoon the conditions improved slightly and we had a fairly normal session. Unfortunately there was a lot of wind and it made everything quite complicated, I was hoping to have a better feeling with the wet but instead even in these conditions I had difficulty opening the throttle. We will see how the weather conditions will be in the next two days and in any case I will try to do my best.”
