MotoGP – Estoril Free Practice – Loris Capirossi: “I hope for a positive weekend”

Loris Capirossi achieved the tenth fastest time today in Estoril on a day affected by rain. The next Team Pramac rider said he was quite satisfied and after the latest disappointments he hopes to leave Estoril with something positive in hand. The word is up to him.

“Today went well, given the situation this morning. When I saw the rain I got a little angry, because I knew it would have been much more difficult for me to race in those conditions. In the wet the body gets more tired and I have to push a lot on my foot, a big problem, but the feeling wasn't bad, much better than in Australia. We have improved a lot since last time and continued to make progress throughout the session. I'm only in tenth place, but I'm quite happy because we were quite close to the leaders throughout the session and that's positive. Eventually, as the track conditions improved, I managed to make some changes, the bike was ready a couple of minutes before the end of the session, but the conditions were so variable that it wasn't worth going back out on the track, too risky. I'm hoping for a good weekend here in Portugal – we really need it!”
