MotoGP – Estoril Free Practice – Jorge Lorenzo: “I felt good straight away”

Jorge Lorenzo immediately set the best time in the first MotoGP tests in Estoril. In wet asphalt conditions the 2010 champion managed to be the fastest, appearing very happy at the end of the day, also recalling the victories obtained in 2008 and 2009 on the same track.

“I love this track, I have won here in MotoGP for the last two years so I am very happy to race at Estoril. Unfortunately the weather was terrible this morning and it made no sense to go out on track, but also this afternoon it was very difficult to ride, with a lot of water on the track you had to be very careful. I felt good despite the track conditions and step by step we improved so that when the track dried I was able to set a good time and find myself at the top of the standings. Tomorrow we will have two longer sessions so we will be able to make up for some of the lost time: let's hope there is no more rain!”
