MotoGP – Estoril Free Practice – A fall for Andrea Dovizioso

Andrea Dovizioso ended the only useful test session of Friday in Estoril with the ninth fastest time. The rider from Forlì, while he was finding a good set-up with his Honda, was involved in a fall which interrupted his work program and left him dissatisfied at the end of the first day of the Portuguese GP.

“Everything was going quite well and we were making progress in finding the best set-up in these difficult conditions. I was doing a fast lap when I made a mistake at turn 8 and had to brake on the white line at the edge of the track and so I fell. Luckily I didn't hurt myself which is the important thing, but this cost us time and prevented us from being higher in the standings. We need to make some improvements to the set-up by working on the electronics for these conditions: the Estoril track is very narrow and it is necessary to manage the engine power well. We are not as close to the top as we need to be, but we have a lot of potential to improve.”
