MotoGP 2015 GP Czech Republic Race – Jorge Lorenzo won by dominating the Czech Republic Grand Prix. For the four-time world champion (two titles in 250cc and two in MotoGP) this is the fifth victory of the year, the 38th in MotoGP. With this success and the simultaneous third place of his team-mate Valentino Rossi, he takes the lead in the world championship standings. The points are the same as the nine-time world champion, but the victories are two more, hence the lead in the standings. Marc Marquez came second at the finish line, thus nibbling away another 5 points from Valentino Rossi, who however is 52 points behind the Pesaro rider. The fight at Ducati was won by Andrea Iannone, fourth at the finish line, while Andrea Dovizioso came sixth, behind Pedrosa (5th). Danilo Petrucci scores points, leading the Team Pramac Ducati ahead of that of his team-mate Yonny Hernandez. The best of the Aprilias is that of Alvaro Bautista, thirteenth and ahead of team-mate Stefan Bradl.

Race report

The highlight of the day has arrived, the riders of the MotoGP class are ready to contest the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, the eleventh round of an increasingly interesting season which sees our Valentino Rossi at the top of the world rankings. Yesterday in the fifteen minute "Time Attack", the Mallorcan Jorge Lorenzo achieved the best performance and therefore the pole position, who with a record time had "snatched" the pole from his compatriot and reigning champion Marc Marquez. Also on the front row is Valentino Rossi, author of the third fastest time.

Andrea Iannone will instead open the second row. The Ducati rider from Abruzzo is ahead of Bradley Smith's Yamaha and team-mate Andrea Dovizioso. The Ducatis on this circuit were immediately more competitive than in the other races, so they could play a leading role.

In the third row we find Maverick Vinales' Suzuki, Pol Espargarò's Yamaha and Dani Pedrosa's Honda. Danilo Petrucci (Ducati Pramac) will start from the fifth row, while the San Marino Alex de Angelis (ART Iodaracing) from the eighth, where we also find Claudio Corti (Yamaha Open Forward Racing). All ready, twenty-seven laps to go for 112.59 km. The traffic lights go out, the fastest at the start is Jorge Lorenzo, who started ahead of Marquez, Smith, Dovizioso, Rossi, Iannone, Pol Espargarò, Vinales, Hernandez and Petrucci.

Dovizioso passes Smith to take third place and Rossi also overtakes the British rider from Team Tech 3. Petrucci is ninth. The first lap ends with Lorenzo in the lead, ahead of Marquez, Dovizioso, Rossi and Iannone. Rossi attacks, but Dovizioso responds, who regains his position. New attack from Pesaro, who passes in the last S before the finishing straight.

The seven-time Top Class champion will now try to close the gap that separates him from the Spanish pair, but it won't be easy, because his delay is more than two seconds. Meanwhile, Pedrosa moved up to ninth position, followed by Petrucci.

The two Spaniards in front are lapping at an unsustainable pace for everyone, their advantage over Rossi increases, it is now 3.239. In the meantime, there is a fight at Ducati between Dovizioso and Iannone. Alex de Angelis falls! race over for the San Marino player from Iodaracing. Shortly afterwards, the same fate occurred for Eugene Laverty, who lost control of his Honda Open. On the twelfth lap Iannone attacks and passes Dovizioso, the rider from Vasto now has Valentino Rossi as his target, who has a 1.451 lead over the Ducati. At Aprilia the best is the newly arrived Stefan Bradl, fifteenth, while Alvaro Bautista is nineteenth.

We have now reached the halfway point of the race, Lorenzo seems to be able to pull ahead of Marquez, now the Yamaha rider's advantage over the Honda rider is over a second. Rossi is 6.857 from Lorenzo and his margin over Iannone is 1.695. If the race ended like this, the Yamaha riders would be tied on equal points in the general classification.

The top three riders made different tire choices. Lorenzo has medium on both the front and rear, Marquez has medium front and hard rear, while Rossi has hard on both front and rear.
At the moment the best choice is proving to be that of Lorenzo, who has over two seconds ahead of Marquez. Rossi's choice is difficult to decipher, given that the rider from Pesaro lost a lot of time in the first laps behind the Ducati. With seven laps to go, Crutchlow, who was in tenth place, crashed without consequences, while Pedrosa was close to the Ducatis. Another fall! this time it was Maverick Vinales, a Suzuki rider, who crashed, who was in the points.

Final laps of the race, Jorge Lorenzo goes on to win the fifth race of the year, the 38th in MotoGP (overtaking Mike Hailwood and equaling Casey Stoner), taking the top spot in the world championship, given that with this success Rossi appears in the standings, but beats him in terms of number of victories (Rossi has three). Marquez and Rossi himself are on the podium, while the fight at Ducati is won by Iannone, who beats Dovizioso, with the latter also being overtaken by Pedrosa at the end of the race. Danilo Petrucci scored points, finishing tenth and ahead of his team-mate Yonny Hernandez. The first Open bike is that of Frenchman Loris Baz, who rides the Forward Racing Yamaha Open.

X popoer6n and The Fastest Fisherman In The World (who with this nickname would like to fool Stoner)
I speak in the plural, but, in particular, I am referring to the "fisherman".

I hope for you that you are kids and not people over 30 because, if in the first case you would be justified, in the second you would demonstrate that you have serious problems.
When you don't have any arguments you always have the keyboard ready to personally offend the writer (I'm not just referring to this discussion, but in all those you've addressed, the thing that emerges forcefully are the insults and offenses and, I'll say again , if you are two people on the "big boy" this is worrying for your sanity.
Everyone's ideas and sympathies should always be accepted, not shared, but accepted, instead from you we only read a string of gratuitous insults and never a sensible intervention on what happens on the track or in the pits.
you are proving that you don't have the faintest idea of what the pilots are doing, you only write to say stupid things and to offend.
Okay, express what you are, it's clear that we can't expect more from you.

Now, go with heavy insults "fisherman", show us what you're made of.

PS: what do the -52s refer to, Iannone is -69 behind Vale and Lorenzo as long as Mathematics isn't an opinion for you. Please, go down hard, make everyone understand what the intellectual level of the "good fan" of Valentino Rossi is, so as to make all those who thumb your nose proud.

But stop acting like the "good guy" who feels offended by what you then explain to me.
        1) Since you couldn't wait to break the p4ll3 maybe you didn't even realize who I was replying to (DinamoMM93), the -52 was referring to Marquez since he's a fan... did you get there stupid?
2)When would I ever insult someone? post me the link, come on, the only one here who is offending is you, so try and calm down Mr Ligera.
        3) You don't know what to attack because you say the same things to everyone, maybe it pisses you off for something.

        Nice guy

Nice nickname...do you know one of the 4 brain-damaged people with this name?

    1. light said:

Look who's talking about brain damage, the leader of the gang.

Go Chief fisherman go with the insults, it's the only topic on which I find you really knowledgeable

My mistake, this is the supermariacho, the one who plays the trumpet in Mexican orchestras (and that would already be an improvement)

I'm disappointed with this race, I expected a lot more brawl.
I didn't even eat the popcorn, I gave that to the Ducatisti who seem a bit down in the dumps ahahahahaha

    1. light said:

Really? I haven't seen any pop and then corn.

Are you there or are you doing it? Write as if we Ducatisti were interested in winning the world championship. We (We) know well that this year was only a "catch-up" year and it is working reasonably well, I am very happy with Iannone's 4th place, considering the problems he had, he would certainly have competed for the podium with Valentino and would have even passed him (in my opinion).

I think it's you who are the ones and that they're taking pindaric trips, just because Vale had an excellent start to the championship and has always had "luck" (I hope this is the explanation) on his side, maybe for one thing , you want for the other.

Now that the distance has been eliminated and the world championship starts again, let's see what will happen.
It is clear that both Marquez (with a Honda inferior to the Yamaha, but you have no idea about this) and Lorenzo are clearly better performing than Valentino
      Dream beautiful, dream.

    What a Championship! Fantastic!
Today's race was F1 style, but never mind, it's still a fantastic World Championship.
Just as fantastic are the drivers who go to compete for the title.
    WELL DONE!

    Jorge was impressive, a hammer!
Marc tried to do as in America, but he didn't have it to stay with Jorge (too superior).
Valentino "does his homework" (note that it's in quotation marks!!!!), but if he wants to fight to the end you have to make a good move and get back closer to his teammate (no mean feat, considering that the next track is Silverstone).

Ducati good, too bad about Iannone's mechanical problem.

Pedrosa is very good, of course everything happens to him... 90% of the times he falls he gets hurt.

Maverick had a great race as long as he remained standing, a significant phenomenon and in a few years (bikes permitting, hoping it's a Suzuki) he will be competing for races and titles.

Excellent Bradl, after one race (now two) he is at the same level as Bautista, a sign that the RSV V4 (modified) cannot give him more than that.
    They have to work.

It's always the same ones who disappoint me. Redding, Hayden and Espargarò P.

Dani is also very good at making statements, he doesn't make any mention of his leg, yet he limps noticeably.

The one who is having a noteworthy championship even if no one ever gets away with it is Smith, fifth in the world championship and often shining in free practice. I think it's the first year that he's proving he's up to the task of a MotoGP bike and it's the first year that Tech3 has made him sweat the renewal; I'd like to know who the alternative is: Zarco, Rabat, Rins, Kent, Bastianini, Morbidelli???

      1. bcs said:

        I completely agree.

Dani has always been a gentleman in this respect, but I am very sorry that a rider like him has never won the MotoGP title (which in my opinion he deserves).
He falls and breaks and then gets up again, in short, the story of his sporting life in MotoGP. He's someone who never gives up.

True for Smith (while his teammate is disappointing, perhaps this year's disappointment, after the performances of 2014), but frankly I've never liked him that much as a driver, in the sense that I've never seen him a champion.

However, his Championship remains an excellent one (it will then remain to be seen whether it will just be a flash in the pan).

        For the market.

It will be done for the private teams (except for Dani's retirement, which fortunately no longer seems immediate).
At the moment, Cal had offered himself to everyone (Aprilia and Ducati Pramac and Tech3), but he will easily fall in line with Lucio (he has found a new sponsor, Castrol).
He will easily make just one bike, with Miller turned to the Aspar team (Hayden is negotiating for the SBK with Aprilia, but I hope to see him with Melandri on the new R1).

In Pramac at the moment Kent's arrival alongside Petrucci seems very likely (with Hernandez who will go to Avintia together with the lousy being).

If Redding's team makes a second bike then Rabat will be there alongside the Englishman.

Zarco is not convinced about making the leap (at least that's what they said on commentary).

Bastianini will stay another year in Moto3 (always with Gresini, who will easily only make one bike).

Morbido will remain in Moto2 (except for last minute maneuvers).

Fenati is not yet known. Rossi's team asked KTM for another bike, and had contact with 2 manufacturers for Moto2.

Forward will easily not be there (in Yamaha they said they can no longer order the M1 Open, because they can no longer make spare parts), and the Kent team (Leopard) is thinking of taking over this team.

In doubt (like every year) there are the "dad bought me the team" teams and Ioda.

Lowes (the one from MOoto2, not his twin brother who races for Suzuki in Sbk) will go to Aprilia alongside Bautista, with Bradl going to be a test rider for Ktm (there is also talk of the daddy's son for this role) and he will return to Moto2 (or do both).

        This is what I know.
