Race report

The riders of the Moto2 class are ready to leave for the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, the eleventh race of the 2015 world championship. Yesterday in qualifying the world leader Johann Zarco took pole, taking his fifth pole of the season. The French driver of Team Ajo Motorsport will start from the first spot (located on the left of the grid) ahead of the reigning champion Esteve Rabat and the winner of Indianapolis Alex Rins.

Second row for the German Sandro Cortese and the Swiss Thomas Luthi and Dominique Aegerter. Excellent qualifying for Alex Marquez, who will open the third row, seventh fastest on the grid. The 2014 Moto3 champion precedes our Franco Morbidelli and Axel Pons. Lorenzo Baldassarri and Simone Corsi will instead start from the fourth row, where we also find the German Jonas Folger, who precedes the two Team Forward riders. All ready, twenty laps to go for 108.06 km. The traffic lights go out, the fastest at the start is the Swiss Thomas Luthi, who started ahead of the world championship leader Johann Zarco, the reigning champion Esteve Rabat, and the Indy winner Alex Rins.

The first lap ends with Luthi in the lead, but the Frenchman Zarco recovers and takes the lead of the race. Meanwhile, Rabat passes Luthi while Zarco tries to escape. Morbidelli moved into fourth position, ahead of Rins, Aegerter and Alex Marquez, with the latter author of a great race so far.

Rabat is reducing the gap to Zarco with fast laps, while Rins is ahead of Marquez, now fourth, with Morbidelli eighth. We have now reached the halfway point of the race, the top ten are Zarco, Rabat, Rins, Marquez, Luthi, Folger, Lowes, Morbidelli, Aegerter and Cortese. Simone Corsi and Lorenzo Baldassarri are in thirteenth and seventeenth position.

The race always sees Zarco in the lead, with Rabat on the virtual podium, as well as Alex Rins, who however has to defend himself from the attacks of a surprising Alex Marquez, firmly in fourth position, ahead of Lowes, Folger, Luthi, Cortese, Morbidelli, Salom and Courses.

The last lap begins, Zarco goes on to win the fourth race of the year ahead of Rabat and Rins. Alex Marquez's race was excellent, finishing fourth. First of the Italians Franco Morbidelli, tenth and ahead of his compatriot Simone Corsi.
