Twelfth final place for Andrea Iannone in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, seventh round of the 2017 MotoGP world championship. The Suzuki Italian worked a lot with used tyres, trying to improve his race pace in anticipation of tomorrow's race. The objective will be to start well and try to conserve as much rubber as possible in anticipation of the final part of the race.

Here are the words of Andrea Iannone: “Overall I am satisfied today. It was a shame for Q2 because in FP3 I lapped faster, but the conditions were different. With these hot temperatures we lost grip at the front, despite the enormous work done to fix the grip at the rear. The problem is that to get more grip at the rear you have to push on the front, so I lost a bit of confidence in corners. However, my feelings were positive. Now we'll see in the race as there will be quite high temperatures and it will be a challenge to manage the tyres. It will be important to preserve the tires for the end."
