MotoGP Assen, Free Practice, Marc Marquez: "We improved with the rain"
The Honda rookie is the fastest in the wet
For the "I still have to learn" series, Marc Marquez set the best time in the afternoon free practice session, which took place in the rain. For the Honda rookie, this is the second grand prix tackled in wet conditions after Le Mans, but his inexperience, for now, doesn't seem to slow him down. The word is up to him.
“I'm happy because today went quite well. From the start I felt good on the bike, both in the dry and in the wet. Obviously there are still things to improve, especially in the dry, but above all I felt good straight away and we'll see what the weather has in store for us tomorrow, even if the forecast isn't good. I hope there will be at least one more dry session to improve the setup, so fingers crossed for tomorrow. Jorge was very unlucky to get injured. I think it's only his second crash this year, and he got hurt, which is something you would never wish on a rider. I hope he can recover soon; I'm sure that in Germany he will be ready to fight again."
