MotoGP Assen, Free Practice: Alvaro Bautista “Both in the dry and in the wet the feeling isn't there yet”

Alvaro Bautista he closed the first day of free practice with the 8th time, obtained in the morning session run in dry conditions. The Spaniard from the Gresini team tried, in the two rounds run in totally different conditions, to gather as much information as possible for Saturday's race which still doesn't know whether it will be run in the rain or not. However, in both dry and wet conditions, the feeling is still not there.

“It was a complete day faced in both dry and wet conditions – said Alvaro Bautista – This morning in the dry the bike was very nervous and we struggled to find a good setting. Unfortunately we would have liked to do some work in the afternoon but the rain didn't allow it. With the rain we had no grip on the rear wheel and despite working in this direction and managing to obtain small improvements they were not enough to have good confidence. We'll see tomorrow if with the information collected in both conditions we can find the right set-up. A day to understand that it will certainly be useful to us.”
