The third free practice session of the MotoGP class in Assen was interlocutory for the purposes of the ranking, given the conditions of the asphalt, made damp by the rain that fell. In fact, the drivers lapped about ten seconds slower than the times recorded in the dry and given that this year the first three free practice sessions have a value for the purposes of entry into Q2 (the first 10 of the combined times of the three Free Practice access it directly) would have been an opportunity to fit in, something that did not happen to Andrea Dovizioso, who finishing eleventh will also have to compete in Q1 (where the first two enter the final phase of qualifying). This is unless Lorenzo decides to try to race, a remote hypothesis given that he should return to Assen after having undergone surgery on his left collarbone last night and receiving the doctors' approval, a rumor which however is circulating in the paddock.

However, the shift could be useful if you run in these conditions. The fastest was Alvaro Bautista who lapped in 1'40.029. The Team Gresini rider preceded the Frenchman Randy de Puniet, riding the ART CRT of Team Aspar, Michele Pirro's Ducati, Ivan Silva's FTR and the Honda of rookie Marc Marquez, victim of a bad high-side, with the motorbike which fell and "went" over the rider. Fortunately, HRC's #93 got away without any apparent damage.

Among the Bigs, ninth time for Pedrosa and twelfth for Valentino Rossi, followed by Andrea Iannone with the Ducati of Team Pramac and Claudio Corti, with the FTR Kawasaki of Team NGM Mobile. Seventeenth is Danilo Petrucci, riding the Ioda Suter BMW of the Came Iodaracing Team.

Marquez was extremely lucky, with a worse fall than Lorenzo's he hurt himself "less".

It's the second time this year that he risks having serious repercussions on his body, already at Mugello he risked a lot due to the dynamics, and here too with the bike that passed him with the front over his back he risked a lot, I hope that you learn to push less.

Furthermore, this morning the track was semi-wet, and the rain didn't last many laps.
Only Bautista and De Puniet mounted slicks in the minutes and lowered their times considerably.

Not so much, on the rose they say that he fractured his little toe and big toe....

yes, that's what I meant by "thank goodness" in quotes, in the sense that he can run, he won't be at 100% but I think he's at a good 90%, while Lorenzo with an apparently less spectacular and apparently less serious fall is stopped due to fault of a significantly more serious fracture.
