MotoGP | GP Jerez Day 1, Alex Marquez: “It's a shame about the crash this afternoon”

MotoGP Ducati Gresini – Alex Marquez closed the first day of testing for the Jerez Grand Prix, fourth stage of the 2024 MotoGP, with the tenth fastest time.

The Spanish driver, who crashed during the second round, managed to gain direct access to Q2 thanks to the tenth time, despite having recorded the best overall performance in the first round.

“It's a shame about the crash this afternoon and above all a shame about the traffic during the second time attack, otherwise we would certainly be higher in the standings. We had to recover feelings and confidence and we succeeded. Obviously racing at home helps and being quick straight away this morning helped. We need to start as far forward as possible because it's difficult to overtake here, so keep your eyes on tomorrow."
