MotoGP Italian GP Mugello Race – Pecco Bagnaia won the Italian Grand Prix in the MotoGP class, eighth stage of the 2022 MotoGP, held on the splendid Mugello track.

After a less than perfect start, the Ducati rider recovered position after position, going on to take the second victory of the season after the one in Jerez, the 63rd (like his number, ed.) for Ducati in MotoGP.

The #63 of the two-wheeled "Red" had to hold off an extraordinary Fabio Quartararo, the only Yamaha among Ducati and Aprilia. “El Diablo” made the most of his talent on the driven parts, but then had to pay the price on the straight against a squadron of Ducatis and Aprilias, taking home a very precious second place.

Third was Aleix Espargarò, who managed to get the better of rookie Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) towards the end of the race, with the latter then also overtaken by his brand mate Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing), fourth upon arrival.

Sixth at the finish line was Luca Marini, who ran a leading race and preceded Brad Binder's KTM, Takaaki Nakagami's Honda, the second official KTM, that of Miguel Oliveira and Marc Marquez's Honda, which as written yesterday will be again operated on his arm.

Eleventh at the finish line was rookie and poleman Fabio Di Giannantonio, in points ahead of Maverick Vinales' Aprilia, Jorge Martin's Ducati Pramac, Alex Marquez's Honda and the Ducati of an unrecognizable Jack Miller, 15th with the second official Ducati.

Only 17th was Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory), who finished ahead of Ducati tester Michele Pirro, rookie Remy Gardner's KTM and Andrea Dovizioso's Yamaha WithU RNF.

A race to forget for Enea Bastianini, who crashed after a good comeback while fighting for the top positions. In the world championship ranking Quartararo leads with 8 points ahead of Aleix Espargarò, 28 over Bastianini himself and 41 over Pecco Bagnaia.
