MotoGP Dutch GP Assen Free Practice 3 – Free Practice 3 of MotoGP very hard fought as usual to seek direct access to Q2.
In Assen, theater of the Dutch Grand Prix, ninth stage of the 2021 MotoGP, the fastest was once again a surprising Maverick Vinales, who seems distantly related to the Vinales seen at the Sachsenring.
Yamaha's #12 set the best time with a time of 1:32.336 and beat team-mate and world championship leader Fabio Quartararo by 0.197s.
Third and fourth times for the Espargarò brothers, with Pol (Honda) ahead of Aleix (Aprilia); the two are followed by the Suzukis of Joan Mir and Alex Rins, the Honda of Takaaki Nakagami (LCR) and the KTM of Miguel Oliveira.
Valentino Rossi grabs ninth position and enters directly into Q2 with a time of 1:32.894 where we also find Jack Miller with the official Ducati.
They will have to pass through the Q1 trap among the big names: Johann Zarco (Ducati Pramac), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), Danilo Petrucci (KTM Tech 3) and Marc Marquez. Also in Q1 are the Ducati rookie Jorge Martin (Pramac), Luca Marini (Sky VR46 Avintia) and Enea Bastianini (Avintia).
