MotoGP | Malaysian GP Qualifying: Jorge Lorenzo, “Strange crash in FP4”
"In Q1 I only had a bike with the wrong set up" added the Majorcan
MotoGP GP Malaysia Sepang Honda Repsol Qualifying – Jorge Lorenzo ended qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix, the penultimate stage of the 2019 MotoGP, in eighteenth position.
The Majorcan suffered a low-speed fall during the fourth free practice session, fortunately without consequences, but which left him with only one bike in the garage for qualifying. The #99 was unable to improve in the qualifying round compared to the time recorded in FP3.

“It was a very strange accident today, completely unexpected, because I braked a little too late and then let it go. When I went out of the first corner, the front closed like there was no grip and I turned around. Luckily, I wasn't hurt. In Q1 I used the second bike, but I think we went slightly the wrong direction with the set up. I equaled my best lap time from the weekend, but everyone else improved. We are closer to the front than before and I am trying to reduce the gap we had in Motegi."
