MotoE GP Germany Race – Niki Tuuli wins the first race of the electric championship, the German GP.

The race held on a damp track began without a lineup lap, unlike the other categories.

Tuuli started well from pole and immediately took the lead, but after a couple of corners Smith took the lead, behind him Di Meglio overtook Tuuli. On the following lap the three begin to battle for first position, with the poleman not making life easy for his opponents.

The fight for victory continues in the following stages, with Garzo joining the fight.

With three laps to go Lorenzo Savadori slips, the bike hits the air walls causing him to deflate, forcing the organizers to display the red flag.

Niki Tuuli (Ajo MotoE) thus wins the first electric Grand Prix in history, with Bradley Smith (One Energy Racing) and Mike Di Meglio (Marc VdS) on the podium.

Fourth position for Hector Garzo (Tech3), ahead of Matteo Ferrari (Gresini) and Alex De Angelis (Octo Pramac).

Xavier Simeon (Avintia) finishes in seventh place, ahead of Eric Granado (Avintia) and Sete Gibernau. Niko Terol (Angel Nieto) completes the top ten.

Mattia Casadei (Ongetta SIC58) finishes eleventh, ahead of Niccolo Canepa (LCR).
