Moto3 QP Sachsenring: Bastianini, “I can stay in the leading group”

Moto3 QP Sachsenring – The team driver Galicia Star 0.0, Enea Bastianini, tomorrow he will start in ninth position but is confident that he can fight for a good result.

Enea suffered a fall, fortunately without consequences, during FP3 and tried to regain confidence in qualifying but the rain complicated things. The asphalt dried rather quickly and this allowed the rider from Rimini to recover up to ninth position:

“The start of qualifying was a bit complicated for us because both with the hard and medium tyre, we couldn't improve the acceleration of the bike, I felt it was skidding a lot when I was leaning. This meant that we lost several positions, then it started to rain and I got worried because I was twenty-first and this would have complicated the race a lot. Luckily he stopped and the track dried quickly, we tried different settings on the bike which worked and from the first lap I managed to improve. Then I continued to lap faster but I found traffic in some sectors and I couldn't increase my pace but we know we could have been even faster. Starting from the third row will allow me to stay in the leading group, for tomorrow it will be important to get a good start but even more so, manage the tires because on this track, after three or four laps, the performance drops a lot.".
