Moto3 Misano, Free Practice 1: Bastianini in the lead, Fenati and Antonelli good

Moto3 2015 GP San Marino and Rimini Riviera – The first free practice session of the Moto3 class at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli saw Enea Bastianini (Honda) excel.

The Team Gresini rider stopped the clock at a time of 1:43.133, just 38 thousandths ahead of his compatriot Romano Fenati (KTM Sky VR46). Third time (+0.198s) for the South African Brad Binder, riding the KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo.

Efren Vazquez with the Team Leopard Honda is fourth, ahead of Miguel Oliveira (KTM Red Bull Ajo), the rookie Fabio Quartararo (Honda), the world championship leader Danny Kent (Honda) and our Niccolò Antonelli (Honda Ongetta Rivacold) and to Andrea Migno, second driver of Team Sky VR46. Closing out the Top Ten is Spaniard Isaac Vinales, riding the KTM.

Andrea Locatelli with the second Team Gresini bike is thirteenth, while Alessandro Tonucci with the Mahindra is twenty-second. It should be noted that the session was interrupted with the red flag after a fall involving our Lorenzo dalla Porta and the Spaniard Jorge Navarro. The latter remained on the ground for a few minutes and was then transported to the hospital in Cesena, but his condition does not seem to cause concern.
