Moto3 Jerez 2015 Day 1 – Matteo Ferrari ended the day on Friday with a highside in the middle of the curve, but also with the satisfaction of having found the right balance in the set-up of his bike. The young Team Italia representative set his best time at 1'49"015 which earned him 25th position. Similar path for Stefano Manzi who was unable to restart with the same momentum with which he had concluded the trip to Argentina, where he had set the 4th best time in the race. The first day of free practice on the Jerez circuit was also affected by a fall which made him lose concentration, thus not allowing him to go beyond the 27th time (1'49"314). However, the gap between both riders from the group remains limited and bodes well for a recovery on Saturday and Sunday.

“In the morning we went through the entire session with the same medium tire, completing 20 laps without problems – he said Matteo Ferrari. The 2″ gap wasn't entirely accurate, considering that the other riders had changed tyres. In the afternoon I started with two hard ones which certainly had pros, but also cons: there was less grip on the rear, this was one of the reasons that led to the fall. Once I got back on the saddle with the medium I immediately improved my time, without a doubt having quickly regained my confidence in the saddle is positive. For the remainder of the weekend I remain confident, we still need to improve the cornering phase."

“Unfortunately – for Stefano Manzi – on the first lap of the track in FP2 I fell, at this point I lost concentration a bit. I returned to the track with the aim of improving myself, without succeeding. We will try to progress tomorrow morning to present ourselves at our best for qualifying."
