Moto3 Jerez: Andrea Locatelli dedicated Friday to finding race pace

Moto3 Jerez 2015 Day 1 – Andrea Locatelli proved to be fast right from the first free practice sessions, particularly in terms of race pace. Since the beginning of the season, the Gresini Racing Team Moto3 rider has made a notable leap in quality, and even today he had an excellent approach to the Spanish circuit of Jerez, "The Cathedral" of motorcycling.

Locatelli in fact, he ended the day with the 15th fastest time (1'48"238), obtaining positive sensations from the bike with used tyres. Saturday will focus on setting up the Honda, especially when exiting slow corners.

“This afternoon we managed to improve, finding what we were missing in the first morning session, and we can say that we are back to where we have shown we can be since the first races. I would have preferred to finish the day in the top ten, but that's okay: after all we are all very close and I have always lapped alone maintaining a good pace even with used tyres. This aspect gives me confidence ahead of the race, which will be very long and also very hot. In general we are already quite good, now we will try to take a further step forward which could help me in the fast corners and especially in the restarts from the slow corners. However, I am more than happy: we have found the road again and the bike works well.”
