Moto3 Jerez 2015 QP: after the first 3 colorless races, Matteo Ferrari obtained an encouraging seventh row in the qualifying round of the Jerez Grand Prix. The best lap (1'47"857), just one second from Fabio Quartararo's pole position, earned him twentieth place on the starting grid. Since the beginning of the weekend, the Team Italia rider had already achieved excellent levels thanks to the good feeling he found with the team and with his Mahindra MGP3O.
However, the difficulties continue for the debutant Stefano Manzi who was unable to go beyond 33rd position in qualifying (1'49"266). Disappointing performance to which was also added a distraction error on the lap back to the pits which led to a rear-end collision Miguel Oliveira, turning off the motorbike, and asking Enea Bastianini for a ride. Tomorrow the young rider will be called to a comeback race in which to once again bring out the excellent speed skills he showed in Argentina.

“Without a doubt a good qualification – began Matteo Ferrari. This morning we made some adjustments to the mapping that helped us a lot to improve our performance, all without making significant changes to the bike's set-up. In the qualifying session I managed to make good use of the tires, I took a little off the times from the morning and it wasn't easy considering the high temperatures. I got the time straight away, without any problems and we are just a few tenths away from the top-15 which remains our goal. For the race we only have to verify a possible modification to the rear to find more grip, but overall we can feel satisfied and confident that we can have a good race."

“A difficult qualification – added Stefano Manzi. Due to a series of circumstances I wasn't able to express myself at my best and continue the work I started yesterday, so all I have to do is give my best tomorrow in the race to recover positions. I would like to apologize to Miguel Oliveira for the incident that occurred at the end of the session, I am truly sorry for what happened."
