The world championship leader did not complete any laps due to a gearbox problem
Moto3 GP Japan Motegi Warm Up – Tony Arbolino wins the Warm Up of the Moto3 class Japanese Grand Prix, sixteenth stage of the MotoGP championship.
The Snipers team driver, who we remember will start from the back, stopped the time at 1:57.782 ahead of the two Petronas standard bearers, John McPhee and Ayumu Sasaki.
Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR46) finished in fourth position ahead of Albert Arenas and Raul Fernandez. Seventh time for Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse) ahead of Jaume Masia and Aron Canet (Max Racing Team). Gabriel Rodrigo (Gresini) completes the top ten.
The pole man, Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse), finished eleventh ahead of Andrea Migno. The other Italians were far away. Stefano Nepa (Avintia) finished 21st ahead of Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team), while Romano Fenati (Snipers) was only 25th.
No time for world leader Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard) stopped by an electronic problem.
