Moto3 | Australian GP FP1: Arbolino stands out in the wet and precedes Dalla Porta
Very wet track and many crashes, Fenati third well
Moto3 Australian GP Phillip Island Free Practice 1 – The Moto3 class riders opened the MotoGP race weekend as usual, this time at Phillip Island, scene of the seventeenth stage of the 2019 season.
On the wet track, Tony Arbolino recorded the best time, stopping the clock at 1:48.024, preceding the world championship leader Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard) and Romano Fenati (Snipers).
Darryn Binder finishes in fourth place, ahead of John McPhee (Petronas) and Gabriel Rodrigo (Gresini). Andrea Migno, who crashed at the end fortunately without consequences, finished seventh ahead of Sergio Garacia and Riccardo Rossi. Marcos Ramirez (Leopard) completes the top ten.
Niccolò Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) slipped in the first minutes of the session and finished in fifteenth position. The other Italians were far away. Stefano Nepa (Avintia) finished 18th ahead of Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR46). Only 26th Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46)
