Italian Top Ten for Stefano Nepa alone
Moto3 Gp Americas Austin Free Practice 1 – Diogo Moreira was the fastest in the first free practice sessions for the Moto3 class American Grand Prix, the third round of the 2023 MotoGP championship scheduled for Austin.
The MT Helmets – MSI Team rider put his KTM in the lead with a time of 2:16.908, a time that allowed him to precede Jaume Masia's Honda Leopard and Ayumu Sasaki's Husqvarna of Team Intact GP, respectively. of 0.272s and 0.282s.
Fourth and fifth times for the KTMs of Daniel Holgado (Tech 3) and Deniz Oncu (Red Bull Ajo), followed by the Honda of Tatsuki Suzuki (Leopard). Closing out the Top Ten are Ivan Ortolà (KTM MTA), Jose Antonio Rueda (KTM Red Bull Ajo), David Salvador (KTM CIP) and our Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA), the only Italian in the Top Ten.
Romano Fenati (Honda Snipers), David Alonso (GASGAS Aspar), Xavier Artigas (CFMoto PruestelGP) and Ryusei Yamanaka (GASGAS Aspar) also qualified for provisional Q2.
Riccardo Rossi (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Matteo Bertelle (Honda Snipers) occupy 17th and 18th position, while Andrea Migno (KTM CIP) and rookie Filippo Farioli (KTM Tech 3) are in 24th and 28th place
