Moto3 Assen, Qualifying: First pole for Oliveira and Mahindra

Miguel Oliveira with Mahindra obtained pole position in the Moto3 class Dutch Grand Prix. The Portuguese rider achieved it with a time of 1.43'588, bringing the Indian bike to the top in the motorcycle championship, repeating the pole obtained in 2011 in Valencia with Danny Webb (but then it was raced in the 125cc class).

Oliveira achieved the same time as Alex Marquez, who however, having achieved it later, will start from the second spot on the front row and will have alongside him Maverick Vinales, third on the KTM of Team Calvo.

Second row for Luis Salom; the world championship leader, after a straight shot (with just a few minutes left until the end of the session), was no longer able to get back on track, thus not being able to fight for pole. In the second row with him Alex Rins and Jonas Folger.

The best of the Italians is Niccolò Antonelli, tenth with the FTR Honda of Team Gresini. The young driver from Cattolica precedes the local idol Jasper Iwema and the French Alexis Masbou and Alan Techer. Further back Romano Fenati (FTR Honda of San Carlo Team Italia), twenty-second at 1.647 and followed by Alessandro Tonucci.

Lorenzo Baldassarri did better than them, fifteenth with the second Team Gresini bike, while Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia" and Matteo Ferrari finished in nineteenth and thirty-first position.
