Moto3 | GP Argentina FP1: Sasaki in the lead, Fenati is fifth
The returning Andrea Migno set the 15th time
Moto3 GP Argentina Free Practice 1 – Ayumu Sasaki was the fastest in the first free practices of the Moto3 class Argentine Grand Prix, the second round of the 2023 MotoGP world championship.
The Team Intact GP rider put his Husqvarna in the lead with a time of 1:49.804, a time that allowed him to precede the Honda Leopards of Jaume Masia and Tatsuki Suzuki, 0.009s and 0.342s behind respectively.
Fourth and fifth times for the KTM of Daniel Holgado's Team Tech 3 and for the Honda Snipers of our Romano Fenati; the two precede the CFMoto of Xavier Artigas and the Hondas of Kaito Toba (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Matteo Bertelle (Snipers).
Closing out the Top Ten are Deniz Oncu on the KTM of Team Red Bull Ajo and Scott Odgen on the Honda VisionTrack. Stefano Nepa riding the KTM of Team MTA is 14th and precedes his team-mate Ivan Ortolà.
Andrea Migno, who replaces Lorenzo Fellon aboard the Team CIP KTM, is 15th, while Riccardo Rossi (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and rookie Filippo Farioli (KTM Tech 3) occupy 22nd and 27th positions respectively.
