Moto3 | Qatar GP Qualifying: the first pole of the season goes to Binder
Guevara and McPhee complete the front row, Riccardo Rossi the first of the Italians
Moto3 GP Qatar Qualifying -Darryn Binder wins the pole of the Qatar Grand Prix, first stage of the 2021 Moto3 class MotoGP World Championship.
The Petronas team driver, after passing through Q1, recorded the best overall performance, stopping the clock at 2:04.075 and preceding Izan Guevara (GASGAS) and John McPhee (Petronas) by two tenths.
Jeremy Alcoba on the Gresini team Honda opens the second row and precedes Jaume Masia (Ktm Ajo) and Kaito Toba (CIP).
Gabriel Rodrigo (Gresini) will start from seventh place, ahead of Sergio Garcia (GASGAS) and Riccardo Rossi (BOE). Niccolò Antonelli (Avintia) completes the top ten.
Dennis Foggia (Leopard) was only thirteenth, while Andrea Migno (Snipers) finished in 17th position. Romano Fenati (Max Racing Team), after passing the Q1 trap, did not record valid times during the session.
Stefano Nepa (Boe) did not pass the Q1 trap and will start from 25th place.
