Moto2 | GP Argentina FP2: The weather is acting up, Alex Marquez is the best

Moto2 GP Argentina Free Practice 2 – The weather had a hand in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class at Termas de Rio Hondo, where the Argentine Grand Prix, the second stage of the 2018 MotoGP World Championship, is scheduled for Sunday.

About 20 minutes from the end, when Alex Marquez was in the lead, a few drops of rain made the track slippery (even in the dry the grip was still not optimal) and most of the riders preferred not to take risks.

However, not everyone remained in the pits, some continued to run on slick tires despite there being no possibility of improving their time.

The session ended with increasingly heavy rain and with the best time by Alex Marquez, who lapped in 1'44.802.

Behind the Spaniard we find the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira, only 3 thousandths behind. Third time for Xavi Vierge, followed by Remy Gardner, Sam Lowes, Brad Binder and Mattia Pasini. Closing out the Top Ten are Isaac Vinales, rookie Joan Mir and Dominique Aegerter.

Eleventh and twelfth time for Luca Marini and Stefano Manzi, while Simone Corsi and Lorenzo Baldassarri occupy the sixteenth and eighteenth position respectively. The winner of Qatar Francesco Bagnaia is twenty-first.
