Moto2 Brno, Free Practice 1: Zarco leads ahead of Folger and Corsi
The world championship leader achieved the best time in Free Practice 1
Moto2 2015 GP Czech Republic FP1 – Johann Zarco achieved the best time in Free Practice 1 of the Moto2 class in Brno.
The world championship leader aboard the Kalex of Team Ajo Motorsport stopped the clock at a time of 2:03.082, trailing the German Jonas Folger by 0.338s.
Third time for the returning Simone Corsi (Forward Racing, after missing the trip to Indy due to the judicial detention of Giovanni Cuzari, was released yesterday evening and returned to the track here in Brno), fourth for the reigning champion Esteve Rabat, fifth for Thomas Luthi and sixth for the Speed Up of the British Sam Lowes.
Closing out the Top Ten are the Spaniard Luis Salom, the German Sandro Cortese, the Swiss Dominique Aegerter and the Belgian Xavier Simeon. Lorenzo Baldassarri (Corsi's team-mate) and Franco Morbidelli (who achieved his first career podium in Indy) are in fifteenth and sixteenth position.
Thirteenth place instead for the Indianapolis winner Alex Rins. The Team Pons rider is 0.872s off the top.
