After the rumors that have circulated in recent weeks, Max Biaggi confirmed to Studio Sport on Italia 1 that he will return to the saddle of the RSV4 of the Aprilia Red Devils team for the last round of the season in Qatar.

The appointment is therefore for the weekend from 16 to 18 October at night: for Max this is the third wild card of the season in which he collected two top-10 placings in Misano and a third place in Race 1 in Malaysia.

Another challenge therefore for the six-time World Champion, twice in WorldSuperbike, who at 44 years old just can't stop surprising.

“We made the decision by mutual agreement with Aprilia to take part in the Qatar race, which will be the last of the season for the Superbike World Championship” – he said Max Biaggi – “I have never raced at night, and this is one more reason to be there. I'm happy and excited because it will be a new experience for me.”

Returning to the Pirelli Malysian Round where, alongside a fantastic podium in Race-1, he had to exit early in Race-2 due to a fortuitous contact, Biaggi explained:

“Race 1 in Malaysia was a great satisfaction for me: it was the result I dreamed of, but now that we have achieved it we can perhaps hope for something more. Then in Race 2 there was that contact at the first corner when I was up front. I dream and hope I can do well.”

Finally Max joked about his "difficulties" in remaining in the control room, as a Mediaset WordlSuperbike commentator, while his former colleagues battle on the track:

“The first year, when I was fresh from leaving, it was normal to still feel the adrenaline, the awareness of still being able to play out there. Now I feel this sensation a little less, but in any case I feel very comfortable even in the commentary booth"
