Valentino Rossi he closes the official qualifying in Aragon with the eighth time, 1.5 seconds from Lorenzo's pole position. The Pesaro native therefore seems to have returned to his "standards" of the entire season, finishing the usual second and a half from first. Rossi also takes half a second from Jonny Rea, who practically ran in the dry for the first time with the Honda in a qualifying session. However, the Pesaro native is not discouraged and at the end of the shift try to see the glass as half full.

“It went quite well – Rossi said to SportMediaset – considering that the others have tested on this track while we haven't. The third row isn't all bad, I also slipped and lost some time. For tomorrow we'll see what settings we will adopt, let's hope the track is dry from the warm up. This is a difficult track, where the bike "spins" (the rear skates) much unlike Misano. Let's try to improve our pace tomorrow to get closer to our rivals. The new swingarm is fine, but what makes the difference is the new frame which improves the front but can still be improved. For tomorrow I think I'll put on the soft, to put on the hard it must be sunny and also 15 degrees higher than today."

It went well considering that the others filmed here and we didn't.

At Misano you rode and the others didn't and yet you declared "I rode well, we are developing the bike, others will reap the fruits of our work", etc, etc, etc, etc,
the Tavullians "when Ducati listens to Rossi the results are visible", etc, etc, etc,

the race anyway is tomorrow, have a good race and may the best and not the most recommended win!!!!!!!

  • It seems to me that the statement is consistent with the situation.
Many fans expected Hayden to have a significantly lower time than Rossi.
Others had pointed out that Karel Abraham's time had been faster in free practice.
If I remember correctly, Vale stated before the Misano test that they had an advantage over the others.
I can't find any scandal other than the fact that he answered journalists' questions as apparently sensibly as any civilized human being.

I agree with you about today's disadvantage being offset by the advantage in Misano.

The facts speak clearly: the gap times remain unchanged compared to the tests, my happiness was for both Vale and Ducati.

I would wait until tomorrow after the warm-up and race (I'm the usual optimist by nature ;-))

Despite the crashes of Vale and Niki (due to the riders' error and not the bike, this is a positive thing), they feel the bike better.

Hayden usually goes fast here but his right hand has just recovered from a fracture, Rossi has never been a phenomenon at Aragon even in Yamaha and for Ducati, historically, it is not one of the favorable tracks.

Interpret them as justifications to the driver if you want, I justify both the drivers and the GP12Evo.

I'll be very wrong but I think Ducati has taken the right direction, even if a little late and the journey is still long, both Vale and Hayden if they manage to improve the setting I think they can have a decent race.

The fact that Niky finds it easier to handle and Vale says that with the new frame and swingarms he is happy with the bike seems to me to be excellent news if not for the immediate future (1,5 sec. from the first) at least for the near future and to make the rideable bike for riders who aren't just Casey.

I think so, this is a difficult track for everyone and today, due to mistakes or tyres, many crashed in all classes.

Tomorrow is the race, let's hope it's fun, without crashes, may the best team win and Vale finishes at least 4th ;-)

…Lyon66, I will have my say on the situation you highlighted: for once (just once) I will be serious…the path taken by Ducati will be the right one but, as you well point out, the gap always remains the same…by analyzing the situation, Vale's commitment is slowly and inexorably waning, as it should be... at the end of the year everyone goes their own way... but this doesn't justify the Pesaro... the Ducatisti like hot riders, with the balls, style Bayliss, Fogarty... Giugliano himself... even Biaggi, when he raced in SBK with the Ducati of a private team he was seen better than Rossi this year, that says it all... I heard similar speeches at Ducati Day... Rossi was booed, I would never have believed it possible...I abstained from cheering against it, it's not my style...I don't agree but I justify it a little...anyway I appreciate your seeing the glass half full, it's part of cheering and the character of each of us we...you have to be a correct person and, as previously said by me in a post from a few weeks ago, we are all friends, even if divided by cheering...those who have the courage to defend their ideas always deserve respect, let's leave the insults to the " our” politicians… however, for the red race, I see it as very tough… on Sunday at 15.00 pm we will know the truth… bye!!!

@lyon. first of all HELLO! no dear vr or lyon, this track has been a friend for ducati since its debut!!! anyway I keep telling you that tomorrow it will be podium or worse fourth.

Hi, it's true for the track, I got confused...

I hope your prediction brings luck like the last race for Vale's position even if I see it as tough.

Third or fourth would be a great result, also considering the warm-up.

I think he could have shaved off his time by a few tenths with the bike ruined in the crash, nothing more... but the race is tomorrow and Rossi will bring out the monster as always.

...it's not much, it's too much, after about 2 years of tests and competitions...we've gone from 1,8 sec. at 1,5 sec... the marriage failed immediately, anyone who denies this is worse than EneA...

In short, 1,5 seconds from pole...I'd say we're back to our usual standards...aka BOTTE DA ORBI!

    Ciao a tutti
But why are we only talking about Vale? It's worth it here, it's worth it...
Let's talk about Ducati. They took all the Ducatis from the almost debutant Rea with Honda. This disgusts me.

  • bibo said:

    there he is…
let's talk about value, because despite what is said to the contrary, Ducati has invested millions of euros in trying to obtain results that have never arrived...
