Julian Simon wins at Misano Adriatico and is increasingly dominating the championship. The gift arrived at the last corner, with Andrea Iannone who in an attempt to pass Pol Espargaro slipped, involving the Derbi driver: both out of the game with the victory thus passing to the standard bearer of the Aspar team, his fourth victory of the season.

Unfortunately, with that mistake, Andrea Iannone ruined a positive race, which saw him fighting for the victory from the first lap. Unfortunately, in his eagerness to win, he made a mistake by hitting Espargaro, who was in the lead at the time with a fantastic comeback. What we saw and above all heard afterwards is to be censored. The Italian in fact hit the Spaniard with a headbutt (both were still wearing helmets) and interviewed by Paolo Beltramo in the pits he addressed the Spaniard in an incredible way, to say the least, saying that the Spaniards "suck". If the mistake in braking on the last lap can happen, the sequel cannot, maybe sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut or at least think before saying certain things. For the record, it should also be said that Iannone reported that he had been insulted by the Spaniard and that the latter had purposely broken the windshield of his Aprilia. The race direction will certainly take some action.

Returning to the race, with the two excluded at the last corner, Nicolas Terol and Bradley Smith finished on the podium, starting from pole position, but forced into a defensive race due to some problems with the bike. Without Iannone the best Italian is Simone Corsi, seventh, while Riccardo Moretti and Lorenzo Zanetti finished 13th and 14th in the points.

Luigi Morciano was nineteenth, Marconi 24th, Ferro 25th, Vitali 27th, with Tonucci and Savadori crashing during the race when they were in a good position.
