French 125cc Grand Prix winner Maverick Vinales has said his goal for 2011 is to become “Rookie of The Year”. The youngest Spaniard to win a Grand Prix spoke thus after his narrow victory over his compatriot Nico Terol.

“This victory is very important for the team and myself, but we must continue with the objectives we set ourselves at the beginning of this season, which are different and that is to try to fight to be rookie of the year and continue to improve and learn at every race. I knew that on the last lap I could escape, but I wanted to pass to another place but I couldn't. Terol made a mistake in the last corner and I won.”

I wonder which other 125cc rider could win the "Rookie" title other than Maverick Vinales: yesterday the Spaniard demonstrated that he is the rising star of the future, the new Marquez of the eighth-litre class.
Theoretically Olivera could worry him, but not too much because he is not as constant as him.
