morning, only in the afternoon did the wind dry the asphalt and then the riders
they were able to do some useful laps.

Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha team riders Valentino Rossi and Carlos Checa have
strung together a few laps in the afternoon, Rossi lapped in 1'32.10 with a total
of 14 laps while Checa clocked 1'34.30 with 22 laps completed.

The Fortuna Gauloises Tech 3 team riders Marco Melandri and Norick Abehanno
lapped in 1'34.34 and 1'35.27 respectively.

Valentino Rossi (Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha) 14 laps, 1'32.10

"We were unlucky with the weather! I couldn't do much today
due to the rain, only in the afternoon was I able to do some useful laps.
We used the latest evolution of the Yamaha engine that we had used in the last one
test, unfortunately I couldn't push much.
Before coming here I went to Melbourne to watch the F1 race and I stayed
pleasantly surprised by the people, the drivers and the mechanics, I think this year
we can do a test in F1 but for now let's think about the bikes, they are my future
next."
