The last day of WorldSuperbike pre-season testing in Europe was heavily affected by rain: in Jerez de la Frontera the riders therefore encountered quite a few difficulties in completing the planned work.
All the teams will now meet in Australia, at Phillip Island, for the two days of official Dorna testing, on 21 and 22 February, before the championship debut.

On the second day of testing Jonathan Rea completed just 11 laps aboard his ZX-10RR, still achieving the best time of the day in 1'52.976, confirming himself as the all-conquering ace of the Jerez tests, with four victories in as many days.
As usual, the only one to come close to him was his teammate Tom Sykes, who was also the most present on the track with 40 laps under his belt, finishing at +0.373.

First experience with the new bike in wet conditions for Alex De Angelis (Pedercini Racing SC-Project), who put together 26 laps with the Kawasaki ZX-10R, signing his fastest lap in 1'55.632.

This was also the first time for Leandro Mercado (IODARacing) at the wheel of the Aprilia RSV4 RF on wet asphalt and he completed 21 laps, finishing in fourth position in 1'57.916.

Another rider who is preparing his debut in WorldSBK is Riccardo Russo (Guandalini Racing) who continued his pre-season program with 35 laps under his belt, signing his best lap in 1'58.564.

The TripleM Racing pair of Illia Mykhalchyk and Marc Moser were the only STK1000s on track today in Jerez, completing a total of 60 laps.
