Valencia wins the Best Grand Prix of the Year 2002 award….

The circuit Ricardo Tormo Valencia won the Irta ` awardBest Grand
Prize of the Year
´as the best GP of 2002.

The circuit measuring 4.005 meters takes its name from the 50 World champion
cc Ricardo Tormo and hosted the first world championship race in 1998.

The award is based on the following points:

1) safety
2) Medical equipment and their use
3) Medical Staff
4) Motorhome displacement
5) Race direction
6) Marshals
7) Media Staff
8) hospitality

This is the opinion of Site Pons IRTA president:

“I think Valencia did an excellent job, I congratulate
them for the prize `Best Grand Prix of the Year´and I believe this
also serve as an incentive for the other GPs."
