Two placings for the Aprilia MotoGP in Sepang….

APRILIA LEAVES SEPANG WITH TWO PLACES

Difficult race, great tension, high temperatures, but the riders of Team Alice
Aprilia Racing conclude the Malaysian weekend on a positive note. Despite one problem
technical, Edwards finished thirteenth, further ahead is Haga
(12th), author of an amazing start. Now men, motorcycles and material
they will leave for Australia for the final challenge of the non-European triptych
of competitions.

COLIN EDWARDS
: “I started badly, but I was recovering in the race when
I ended up with an oil leak. The lubricant has run out
on the rear wheel causing the bike to slide noticeably. I arrived
after all, because I never give up."

NORIYUKI HAGA: “This is my style: full throttle and
clutch released suddenly. To start off strong like I did today you have to
to do so. I was feisty and aggressive and fought with the bike
by Melandri. I had a good battle with braking at the limit. After all
a good race."

GIGI DALL'IGNA (Project Leader): “Not bad, although I expected it
something more from Colin in terms of lap times. In the end though
he had a technical problem which we will check carefully. Without this,
he undoubtedly could have done more. I really liked Haga.
He said: “Today I'm making a great start” and he kept his word.
The Japanese, among other things, tested different cycling materials in the race
which we will test again in Australia."
