THE DUCATI MARLBORO TEAM IN ACTION IN BRNO AND MUGELLO

Important commitment for the Ducati Marlboro Team in anticipation of the next ones
MotoGP championship races. Simultaneously on the Brno circuit in the Republic
Ceca and at Mugello two test sessions were held involving the
official team with riders Loris Capirossi e Troy bayliss, and
the development team.

Four bikes on the track on the same days, four structures and teams
engineers and mechanics to continue the growth of Desmosedici, both in
function of the remaining eight rounds of the 2003 MotoGP championship which in view of the
next, demanding competitive season.

Today was the first of two days of testing both in Brno and on
Tuscan circuit.

In Brno the two riders tried to do as many laps as possible to find
the right set-up for the bike on this technical and fast circuit, which on August 17th
will host the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic. Loris' best lap
(33 laps completed), was 1'59.86 while Troy completed 55 laps
of the Czech track; 2'01.43 his best time.

For the first time on this circuit the Desmosedici performed
Very well; Loris, in fact, lapped much faster than the best time
recorded in last year's race.

At the same time the development team worked on the Mugello circuit
a series of solutions and components for the 2004 version of the 'red' from Borgo
Panigale, in particular taking advantage of the very high temperatures of the day
(38°C) to improve engine cooling efficiency.

Alongside the official Ducati Corse test rider Vittoriano Guareschi,
Randy Mamola, four times runner-up in the championship and currently busy
with the Desmosedici Biposto. The American is therefore perfectly capable
to provide further valuable information to the Ducati Corse technicians.
