The Kawasaki Racing Team completed the first winter test with Sykes in preparation for the next season of the Superbike World Championship, with three days of encouraging testing at MotorLand Aragon.

Most of the planned work program was completed, with Sykes able to put together 139 laps, setting a best time of 1'50.6, repeated on several occasions thanks to a very constant pace.

With a significant number of new components available, the work has been a lot, but the team and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, which is closely involved in the development of the new Ninja, expect to take an even bigger step next week in Jerez. important in the transition to the 2016 bike, as well as reconfirming the parts already tested at MotorLand.
The most important improvements have been made in braking stability and engine power.

The Kawasaki Racing Team is already looking forward to the two days of testing scheduled in Jerez next week, 3-4 November, in which Jonathan Rea, on "paternity leave" in Aragon, will also participate.

“We're going in a good direction, towards something we already know,” he said Tom Sykes – “We solved some initial problems and found a general feeling with the work in the first two days. Yesterday, however, with the sun shining all day, we worked with our heads down, trying many solutions non-stop, staying on track as much as possible. The performance shown by the ZX-10R at this test thrilled me and the pace was truly constant. The feeling was easier to obtain than in the past. It's still early days, but it wasn't a bad start at all."
