At the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on Monday 20 June, after the Pirelli Riviera di Rimini Round ended, among the teams remaining for the official Pirelli test day there was also Pata Crescent Yamaha, which had already taken to the track here in beginning of the month to prepare for the eighth stage of the world championship.

In the late morning, when the track began to dry out after the night's storm, Niccolò Canepa was the first to leave the garage and completed 40 laps in the first part of the day, while Alex Lowes completed 19, not wanting to push himself the collarbone still damaged by the two races of the weekend.
Both riders worked supported by Yamaha technicians, focusing on electronics, chassis updates and engine development.

Lowes continued his physical recovery, managing to complete 64 laps at the end of the day, while Canepa recorded 86: also in the afternoon the two riders continued their evaluations on electronics and suspension settings.

“Today's test in Misano was very positive and I finished 64 times” – he said alex lowes -“It's a bit frustrating that I still can't do as many laps as I would like. Also there was still good weather when I stopped shooting and I was disappointed as I always want to work as much as possible, but what we got was positive. We worked on some suspension parts, on the electronics and at the end of the day we had a better set up, so I feel like we made a step forward compared to the race weekend. I can't wait to race in Laguna and see if we can improve further!”

“I'm really happy with today and the whole weekend” – he added Niccolò Canepa – “Especially the test because we tried many things and the bike improved in many aspects, including the electronics, the chassis and also the comfort. For me it was very important to do this test, but honestly I have to say that I'm a bit tired, given that in the last 13 days I've been in the saddle for 12 days. It's time to relax a little."
