Superbike: Superpole with record for Sykes in Jerez

Amazing lap for the Englishman who places himself ahead of Rea. Extraordinary Canepa third.

Under scorching heat at the Cicuit de Jerez, Tom Sykes wins yet another TissTissot-Superpole this season, improving by 6 thousandths the record set last year by his then teammate Loris Baz.

Behind him we find current teammate Jonathan Rea, who led the session until, two minutes from the end, Sykes took over, taking pole from him by around two tenths.

The front row of the Pirelli Spanish Round race is completed by an extraordinary Niccolo Canepa, who is perhaps having his best weekend so far this year.
Let's hope that tomorrow he will be able to materialize the good things he has shown so far.
Michael van der Mark hopes the same, excellent fourth after qualifying from SP1, ahead of Jordi Torres and the Ducati duo of Davies and Pirro, who were unable to best interpret the qualifying Pirellis, which the Italian rider must say it, he practically doesn't know.
The top 10 is completed by Baiocco, Lowes and Guintoli.
Disappointment for Haslam only eleventh: for him a second part of the season which is proving to be dull after the excellent start.
12th David Salom, who didn't actually take part in the session due to the after-effects of a fall in the SP1.

Next appointments, tomorrow at 8 am with the warm up, followed by the start of race 40 at 10 am and the start of race 30 at 1 pm.
